Sign up for this Monday morning clay class with Pedro Ramirez of Zerimar Clay.

This is an 8 week class that is a great option for people who have no experience with clay and a good option for those who want to brush up on their basic pottery skills.

8 week plan:
Beginning Wheel

1. Basics - Introduction to clay and how to throw form on the wheel

2. Throwing a cylinder and keeping the walls straight

3. Trimming forms on the wheel - clean up edge and make a foot

4. Throwing a bowl on the pottery wheel, handles

5. Glazing 101 basic dip

6. Last throwing day - How to make a plate

7. Trimming and finishing

8. Glazing 102 - Dip, Pour, Overlap, Brush, Spray, tape resist

Current students must have their own clay, please purchase white stoneware or porcelain for this class. We will send notification when it is time to purchase for the upcoming session. Your clay will be at the studio on your first day of class.

Each student will get up to two 2.5 hour time slots of open studio each week.

Class meets Mondays at 9am on:
2/28, 3/7, 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, 4/4, 4/11, 4/18

Due to the economic impact of Covid 19 on small businesses giving refunds is not possible right now. Pease only register if you are most certain you will be able to take this class or not mind having the class deferred to a later date.
