The first week of this class students will make kurinuki vessels. Kurinuki is a Japanese term relating to a particular hand-forming process. This technique employs carving out a shaped solid block of clay to obtain interior space.

The second week we will create a slab coil mug.

This is a beginner friendly workshop. If you like rustic, organic form then this is the workshop for you.

Four vessels are included in this workshop . Each additional piece will be $5. Students will not be paying firing fees.

There is no open studio time included in these workshops, all making will happen during class.
