No, our activities take place outdoors at reduced capacity. Therefore our new term which runs from August 3rd until September 27th will take place outdoors.

What about rain?
The classes will be rain or shine and there is a canopy to protect students in case of inclement weather.

I do not want to work outside what are my options?
If you already paid, we can defer your class into the future.

Are there handbuilding classes?
We will not have any handbuilding classes for a while but we may do workshops.

I am advanced wheel/handbuilding, what are my options?
There are a few spots available for membership which you can trade your class fee (if you paid pre-COVID)

What is membership access?
Members can come in three times a week anytime Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday between 7am and 10pm for 2.5 hours by using a shared sign up sheet.

Will my favorite teacher be returning?

When are classes?
Monday 9am-11:30pm Monday 7pm-9:30pm Friday 7pm-9:30pm Sunday 2pm-4:30pm

Students will have decreased open studio time and must sign up for wheel practice time and glazing time separately with weekly restrictions. Those restrictions are one 2.5 hour shift of open studio per week. In response to this restriction, classes are now eight weeks long instead of six.

Will wheels be sanitized?
Yes. There will be strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols as well as a mask requirement at all times inside and in the garden as well as the use of gloves when glazing.

I see the option to buy clay, what is this?
Students now must purchase and manage their own clay bodies and tools. Each student will have their own private shelf where they can store their buckets, sponges, etc.

What type of clay do I get if I purchase it with the class?
White stoneware. If you want a different type of clay, buy it seperately from the class in the shop and select no for the clay option when registering. If you already registered you must buy your own clay.

I registered late fall for spring I or spring II, do I have to buy clay?
Yes, see above.

Will weather be an issue?
The class is outdoors so please check the forecast for the day, bring plenty of water to stay hydrated and use insect repellent if you are sensitive to mosquitos.
